Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook now offers a full-service mobile practice with many of the same services you would recieve in our office, only we come to you! Your pet no longer needs to travel to recieve great medical care. Another important service we provide is private, at-home euthanasia. What services do you provide?

We are able to perform annual exams and routine vaccination visits, comprehensive exams for sick pets, roundtrip transport for diagnostic services or procedures that must be performed at the animal hospital, and hospice care. We also offer at home euthanasia services that provide the opportunity for you to say goodbye to your beloved pet in the comfort of your own home.

What is the cost of a house call visit?

House calls are a premium service and as such our fees reflect our doctors and technicians time and cost of travel. Each house call is assessed a mobile house call fee that differs depending on how far we must travel as well as a separate Doctor or Technician fee. These fees are in addition to our normal fees for exams, vaccines, diagnostic lab work, and euthanasia costs. Please call us at 860-399-6249 for a customized estimate of services. Please note: A credit card deposit for the mobile house call fee in addition to a doctor/technician fee is required when making a house call reservation. This deposit holds your reservation.

What forms of payment do you accept for house calls?

We accept Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, Amex or Care Credit.

Can I make payments?

Payment in full is required at the time of service. Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook does not offer any payment plans or delayed billing. We do accept the Care Credit Card that offers flexible financing. Please visit them online for more information and to apply: Care Credit Application

How do I prepare for my scheduled appointment?

After your reservation has been made you will receive an email confirmation that will include a digital liability waiver document and mobile service agreement. These documents can be digitally signed or you can print them out, sign them, and drop off at the Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook. Thirty minutes before your appointment you will receive a confirmation call and a reminder to have your pet leashed or confined in an easily accessible space such as a small room or bathroom. We ask that your pet be ready and available to be examined upon our arrival and that you provide a space free from obstructions for examination.

Please note: In the event that a difficult to catch pet has escaped or is otherwise unavailable to be examined your deposit for the house call fee and the doctor/technician time will not be refunded.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you call to cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled appointment you will be refunded back your deposit. If you have any questions regarding our cancellation policy please call us at 860-399-6249.
